Just heard Johnny Chopper's will be closing their doors next month.

Sad news ...... another BMX icon gone due to offshore manufacturing .  Sad

Your F%*king kidding I am in Hervey bay on Holidays and Coasty told me the factory was in Bundaberg, then yesterday I was there and forgot to check it out. I was stoked when I got back into BMX to learn of an aussie making some sweet gear. Doh Doh Doh!

Gary is Johnny Chopper. Has been for a long time. He started out with choppers (bicycles) and it has grown from there.
The history and his career is all on his website. Ok I just checked, it's all changed.

So Glenn is it Gary that sold out to the chinese then or did he sell the brand to one of the big boys? I checked out his site with my bro the other night and those cranks are sweet. Is he negotiable on his prices usually?

PS fitted the Pitbulls yesterday and grabbed a set of new school pads they are sweet. Thanks again!

No Gary is just closing his doors. Nobody will be carrying his stuff. He still owns the name and still sells Snap products.
I feel lucky to own JC stuff and to have helped out a great Aussie Company.
