WWW

Hello all:

My name is Justin and I own and operate Porkchop BMX - which was originally just an online retailer of old school BMX parts (both NOS and repop), but I am hard at work having new parts manufactured to my specifications under the Porkchop brand. I try to stick strictly to old school specs on the products I carry... 3/8" axles, American BB's, 1" threaded forks, 22.2mm seat posts, 21.1mm quill stems, super tall bars, etc. although sometimes you'll find newer items mixed in.

A big thanks to Richie for setting me up a spot here to keep everyone updated on my many irons I have in the fire (a brief list to follow). I am in the USA, but I ship a dozen or more packages daily to Australia - between the weak U.S. dollar and cheap postal Flat Rate Boxes, it's pretty much the best time in history to buy BMX parts from the U.S.

If you're not familiar with Porkchop BMX, please check out: www.PorkchopBMX.com

Here is an update of new items and things on the horizon:
1. Next week (2nd week of January 2010), several new Dia-Compe items will be in stock including WHITE Tech 77 locking levers, silver Tech 6 locking levers (white are already in stock), plus silver Tech 4's and black Tech 4's. All brand new shiny goodness manufactured by Dia-Compe using the original tooling. I will also have the 28.6mm brake cable clips back in stock (31.8mm are in stock now).
2. End of February/ early March 2010: Launch of the Porkchop CHOP SAW chainrings and power discs. Reminiscent of chainrings from BITD, these are 100% CNC machined in the USA - they will initially be available in red ano, blue ano, silver and black... with gold ano, purple ano, and green ano to follow within a few months. 39T to 45T will be available - both the rings and discs will be drilled for 110 and 130 bcd.
3. April 2010: NEW TIRE SHIPMENT! This time, 26" Comp 3 skinwalls in red, blue, black and yellow with aramid bead (that's right... FOLDING so you can get as many tires stuffed in a Flat Rate Box as possible!). 24" Comp 3 skinwalls in YELLOW, 20 X 1.75 Comp ST tread SKINWALLS in BLACK, RED, PINK, BLUE GRAY GREEN, and PURPLE.. and Comp ST in 16 X 1.75 in BLACK or WHITE for you pit freestylers. White skinwall Comp ST's in 20 X 1.75 available in the store NOW. And for those looking for an alternative to a Comp 3 tread, I've got a fat knobby (sort of a Comp II, but not quite) coming in both 20 X 1.75 and 20 X 2.125 in SKINWALL with black, blue, red and yellow tread.
4. Tentative set to launch May 2010: Tri bar 26" cruiser frames... limited run of 50 tri-bar cruiser frames, 100% chromoly - they'll look awesome built up with my new 26" folding Comp 3 skinwall tires. This will be the 2nd Porkchop branded product after the chainrings. Unfortunately the box will be too big to go regular post to Australia, but I'll be providing shipping quotes via FedEx if you have got to have one. These first 50 will be chrome. If successful, subsequent production runs will be different colors... but only the first ones will be chrome.
5. Octoberish, 2010: The next tire shipment will include Porkchop hot patched all black knobbies in staggered (20 X 1.75 and 20 X 2.125) sets. Also, working with Hwa Fong on a 100 psi Comp ST tread folding tire that will also be Porkchop branded so new schoolers can roll on a little old school inspired rubber.
6. Sometime near the end of 2010: Cheng Shin skinwalls in 20 X 1 3/8" in black, red, and blue tread - plus, Cheng Shin 14" skinwall snakebelly tires in black and white tread for the scooter crowd.

And in between all of that, I get containers of stuff from overseas every few months... the next of which will be in 3 weeks, which I know will have VP pedals in several colors, stainless steel stem bolts, and some other goodies I've been waiting a long time for.

I will post pics and other info as it becomes available. Also, consider becoming of a "fan" of Porkchop BMX on Facebook where I also try to keep regular updates.

Thanks!

Justin

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I work hard to be a quality, prompt supplier for your BMX needs Smiley

For anyone going to the Blast from the Past! show, I just shipped Troy a pile of goodies last week to use as he sees fit at the show - so if you want to see some of my exclusive items first hand before buying, that's a good place to do it.

The new Dia-Compe levers are in stock now.

As another update - looks like I'll be getting a large shipment in next week that will include the following:

VP-747 pedals (Suntour XC-II copies) in 1/2 and 9/16 in the following colors: red ano, blue ano, gold ano, white painted, pink painted, orange painted, and lavender painted.
"Crimp style" brake pads (like on MX 900/1000 brakes) in 6 colors: white, blue, red, orange, yellow and black
Several new seat clamp styles in various ano colors

Those are just the highlights - there are a couple dozen new products in that shipment. Smiley

Thanks!

Justin

Thanks everyone!

Sorry I haven't provided an update in a while - things have just been crazy here, what with spring here in the Northern Hemisphere and the launch of the Chop Saw chainrings (hopefully to be consumated the end of this coming week).

Something else new is starting in May I will be offering dealer pricing on the Chop Saw line and Flite products (with tons of new Flite stuff coming in over the next 2 weeks.. like pink/white, hot pink/white and purple/white checkerboard padsets, donuts in tons of colors, the "Anodized by Flite" chrome checkerboard padsets being re-released etc.)

So, if you own a shop or have a favorite shop, let me know if you're interested in a dealer application Smiley
