It's taken a long time but I'm nearly there....just need to adjust and tighten a few things, drop a couple of links out of the chain and to apply the stickers.

I'm still after some NOS red, vinyl pads....anyone ?

I tried to exactly copy my original Fatrax, which was factory standard.
I had no pics of when it was new, so I don't know what seat or grips were on it - I'm sure the Cobra style weren't, but I like 'em anyway.

Powdercoated as close to original silver colour
NOS Tange MX600 Headset
NOS Tange TX-1200 Champion forks
NOS Takagi Tourney 3 piece cranks
NOS KKT KMX pedals (not attached yet)
NOS Shimano MX High Flange Hubs - rear coaster
NOS fat 12 gauge spokes laced into NOS Femco rims
NOS VP components Bottom Bracket
NOS 3S spindle - couldn't find Hatta
NOS Downtube sticker (not on yet)
Repro Headtube & Seattube stickers (not on yet)
Rechromed ALPS bars & Stem
New/NOS Izumi Chain
New Fuan 8 grips
New Tioga Comp III (repro 2009)
New Dominator copy seat
New generic Cr-Mo seat pole

My original Fatrax purchased in 1981/82 - looking very worse for wear but with all it's original parts.

Yeah, the stem is just sitting in there - it's a bit bent. I didn't want to bash it in yet.

The seat post is a bit long too.

Pretty happy with how it's coming along - I had the red cranks and pedals on too, but the missus told me the silver looked better so silver it is ! That's how my original bike was anyway.

.....hard to find new ALPS JAPAN stuff these days - I've been searching everywhere for over a year.

This one is the straightest of the three used ones I found - it came from Troy.

I pushed it in today - I didn't need to hit it !
