They shouldn't be any different to any other hub. Just undo the large outer nut first the the cones should undo as well. Clean them out with degreaser and re-grease. You should invest in a quality set of cone spanners from the local bike shop. They will come in handy.

Will the back one be as easy as the front or will the teeth piece cause issues?

Usually you can do the bearing with the gear in place, you just have to take a bit more care; or when you are at the local bike shop ask them to take the gear off, you can put it back on by hand easily once the job is done.
good luck with it,

Yeah the rear sprocket can be left on for cleaning. Try not to get any degreaser in the sprocket. It won't hurt it but it might get a little noisy. The bike shop should do it for nothing. If not buy a sprocket remover. Best $10 you'll ever buy.

OK so I worked on the front wheel today.
Got the axle out ok, and all the bearings.
What I noticed tho is that on one side of the axle there is some wear on the thread where some of the thread seems to meld together. Will this be an issue for me later on? Also one of the cones itself seems to have suffered a little bit of damage so I think I will new ones (dont forget I am a complete novice here).
The rims an spokes are all suffering from age, I noticed that they both have rust on them, some spokes more so than others. What's going to be the easiest way to help clean these up with out rebuilding the entire wheel?

You could dab a drop of oil on each nipple of the wheels to ensure they dont seize up. Some spokes just get surface rust & it comes off ok otherwise u cant do much about usty spokes-for a get to work n back rider I wouldnt worry about the rusty spokes. Your rear axle in the pic looks to have some damaged thread-as long as the cones still screw on off should be OK-otherwise replace it all.

New axles are no problem. The LBS should have what you need. Make sure all the new stuff is the same size too. The cones and axles all come in different sizes. I usually raid the local tip for axles and spokes. I bought a wheel full of stainless spokes for $2 yesterday. I know I'll use them on something very soon.

Can i get sealed bearings for the wheels? or is they only for BB and HS stuff?
All I know about the size is that I had to use a 13 cone wrench to remove the cones.

Not unless they have sealed bearings already. Just grease them up and adjust them right. They'll be fine. There should be a lock nut on the outside of the cones too. Sounds like your going great so far. I hope your taking pics of all this for us pic-a-philes !
