Not a great deal but definately worthy. $7 for these and a 90's DB alloy wheel. The Tuff is a metal hub Blue Tuff II thats been painted silver The bars are in great cond due to being covered in some sticky greasy crap. Look like 70's motorbike bars. These are very cool.

Well Blue being the most popular color I reckon a good clean restored set could get $300. A single painted front rim is probably worth about $70. I searched the whole damn tip lookin for that rear Tuff.

Nice pick up even if its just one wheel, I got one oe and will have to wait forever to find another I guess, just hang off until a second turns up mate. I got these today at the local market. Paint will come off easy by the look and they are a nice slate/graphite colour, they spin well, I'll work out how to pull centres apart and give them some fresh grease and a clean up. Not sure if I'll be able to find reflectors, but the rear knobby has tons of tread and the front is passable and they seem to hold air. Fatrax might get them or maybe I'll sell em but nice to get something with potential. cheers Tim

Ahh cool they should be easy to fix up, the rear tyre has super mx in small letters and a pic of a dog with Leo written under it in longhand, it's mega chunky, a bit cracked but still good. thanks for the word on the hubs. I was originally going to reply, I'll see your crappy tuff and raise you 2 grotty Starfires and tyres, but thought better of it cheers

Well! I went back to the tip today because I'm on holidays. Guess what I found just sitting there? Yep the matching rear Tuff !! I could not believe it. It seems to be in good cond apart from the paint job. Todays cost? $2. Not a bad deal I reckon hey Phil?? You want them don't you?

excellent score, Glenn. those early bars look like we used to run on our old dragsters. we used to cut up old cans as spacers so they could be used in the old single clamp stems before the good old doubles came our way. same with grips. we used to buy motorbike grips and wrap the RH side with tape to allow for the fatter grip. slipping a grip off a jump was garanteed. aah the good ol' days

Yeah thats right Allen. All my mates had them but most were black. One mate, Robert Annette had a Malvern Star dragster frame with YZ bars like these. Everyone else had mattblack paint but his was metallic blue. Awsome bike. He went on to become a Yamaha factory sponsored MX rider.
