does anyone know of an annodizer in QLD who can do colours? i need to keep it in QLD to keep postage cost down. also is it best to de-anno and polish the old parts myself or can the annodizer do this themselves?

Hi mate, I use these guys, they do a great job and reasonably cheap. $50.00 minimum order. I shipped your wheels this morning, you should see them Friday.
Cheers, Chris

Oh yeah, they can de-anodize for you but I would recommend doing it yourself. They just use Caustic Soda, as you would normally use. It would also be best to polish them yourself and/or use scotch brite to get a grain(eg: Tuf Neck) into the alloy before anodizing. Go the mirror polish if you want to get say a Dia Compe MX hinged clamp back to original finish or an MX1000 for that matter. Check out Stu's Race Inc, the one for sale at the moment, polished and then anodized to give a bright finish. Also, let them know exactly what finish you are after, they do a pretty good range of colours and the samples I have seen all look good.

sounds good, Chris. i take it, it would be best to polish everything up and send as one package to achieve uniform colour for all anno parts on a bike. i'll give them a ring when i get home.
thanks for doing those wheels for me. i'll probably have some more later on.
