Ages ago Ads gave me an old X gusset hotfoot frame as they were a bike I admired bitd, sadly it was a little to damaged to rebuild. At Yandina I got a good frame which Troy kindly posted down to me. Today it got garnet blasted to reveal a frame with no crack or rewelds so it went to the painters for some 2 pack blue.
(A 80 Apollo also went for a coat of paint, pink; after it passed the crack/reweld test post blast)
Anyway I cant remember what gear Hotfoots had from shop bitd, so am wondering if anyone has some old pictures.  I looked on the interwebs and didn't find much but might have been looking in the wrong spot.
I have lots of era correct parts so will built it like I would have BITD if I'd had the dough.
PS: Will be selling my speedwell to make room most likely if anyone is interested let me know.  Landlord was here the other day and I have too many bikes hehe.

dont know about x gusset ones but mine (an 85) has, or at least had  sugino 1 piece 165mm cranks and 43t chainwheel riveted to a sugino spider which I thought was a little odd. also had giant made CW copy bars. not sure what else is og but the brake caliper is dia copme 890 yet the lever a no name cheapie. Had fuan mushrooom grips on it when I got it but again not sure if og. checkered polyester canvas and velcro padset with hotfoot in quite small writing.

the one i had as a kid (an 83 or maybe 82..cant really remember....i was only a little kid) came with ogk style or perigrine style tuffs, snowflake chainring and unknown brand 1 piece cranks which I promptly bent and replaced with a set of takagi mx 1 pce, also came with pinched end v bars, imitation oakley grips and yellow vinyl press stud pad set wit hotfoot written in blue in big font.

Both had/have the same dodgy stem which looks okay from above, (the top part looks a little bit like a suntour power stems top part without the writing) but they are easy to overtighten and bend the bottom part. Sorry I cant remember more details and do have not one single photo of mine from bitd, plenty of great memories and a few scars but sadly no photos. still got my 85 downstairs but dont ride it too much. If you get new decals hicksy's are pretty good but didn't come with the little square "1080 hi-ten" one that goes at the top of the seat tube.

No way there will be tuffs going on it, might get something chrome or more likely alloy.

Wait 'til you see the poofy pink apollo that might be a candidate for tuffs.
Parts list im still looking into Ads.
Not tuffs though!
