I got this 1980 Chrome hotfoot yesterday from a mate at work, he's been telling me about "this old kids bike" for awile and he finally brought it in, I was suprised to see this!! lol

And after a couple of hours stripping, cleaning, scrubbing, sanding, polishing etc.. here is the frame.

Just wondering if anyone has any decals for this?

Thanks guys, I just finished the forks today and put the head set back together, will make a start on the wheels over the next few days! they will be a mission lol Undecided
My Mate at work polished the chain wheel up also, it came up a treat  Shocked
My goal with this bike is to get it close to how it was when new, so don't expect any fancy parts Smiley

Stay tuned for more updates!!

Finally got the rear wheel back to a decent state, have made a start on the front rim aswell!! Its a long task but well worth it when you get a result like this Smiley .

I also use a small buff on a die grinder and a heap of elbow grease with cutters and brushes LOL
As for the ding, maybe post a picture in the catagory Technical Chatter, I may be able to help?

very inspirational. this proves we don't need to buy high dollar items if we're prepared to put in a bit of time and elbow grease.

Thanks heaps guys, Smiley after spending so much time cleaning and polishing this bike i'm really starting to get attached to it Grin
Made some more headway today with the front wheel, it's almost finished just a little more around the sidewalls and the looseballs repacked, but I couldn't wait to see what it looks like so I done a Dummy build with the finished bits for the picture.

And the other side, note the chain wheel hanging on a 17mm ring-open end spanner through the BB LoL Roll Eyes
