Whitebear T-Bone

This build is my grail. If I never build another bike I dont care.
Now, this project is going to be a long time in the making, it will not be rushed or half arsed. Im still in the process of finding out the history of the brand and what components were run on them as they they only sold as frame/fork combos.
The top tube is 21 inches if anyone wants to know.
The paint decision has been made, after talking to Roberto at Blast I decided on white as he has an arctic white that sounds divine.
An idea for some components revolve around Powerlite as I really like their mid school gear.
Forks are going to be an issue as the frame I got never had the forks with it so I think I will have to have some luck there or maybe look at something else, maybe Landing Gear I dont know.
I have a NOS set of decals for the frame but I already have a line on repops and repop padset from the US.
A big thanks goes out to Tim for securing this for me. Mate, you are a Legend.
Here are some pics to start the show, there wont be anymore until the project starts and it will start when I get the info I need and the money to get it going.
Cheers Adrian

Sounds like it will be a real beauty Adrian. Skype me or yahoo chat me sometime and I'll talk to you about some mid school powerlite hubs I have here in excellent condition. The rear is still laced to a rim but the front is in great shape.
cheers Tim

Well Glenn, Im waiting to here back from Tristan White who knows a bloke here in Melbourne who rode for Whitebear BITD and he seems to think this fella has info on what Whitbear Aus rode with and what the US Team factory rode with. So, if I get that info I will probably go with that but if it doesnt then it goes like this. Cranks will either be Bullseye or Flights Im even fiddling with the idea of GT there. Pedals will be XCII's, rims will be Ukais cause i love em. Bars will probably be Powerlites or S&M Slams, hubs im leaning towards either bullseye or GT, stem will either be a Powerlite or DK, the forks are the big dilemma though. If I cant get Whitebear forks then I got no idea but maybe landing Gear.

thats the key Adrian. patience.
i bet if you wait long enough and look hard enough the fork you want WILL turn up.
btw i've never seen this frame before, very unusual place for a tube gusset. what year is it? as that makes a huge difference in parts selection.
good luck with it mate and have fun chasing the bits

Allen, from my deductions I think the frame is a 3/90 build, but I could go as early as 3/88 to make Tbone replica.

Can't wait to see this one Ads. Sounds good. What does the fork look like? Have you got a pic? What other fork could you use in the meantime?
I really like the frame.
