stretched steerer tube repair kit

Had two frames where the bottom part of the steerer was flared out so the bearing cup wouldn't fit snugly. Malvern Star fixxed this by making a ring that reinforced this area the next run of frames. So I made a ring and a mandrel that fits in steerer so you can tap it back into shape then force a ring on in a vice with some wood to save the ends if the steerer tube. Then if you want braze the reinforcing ring so it will never move (which i will do). You end up with it looking like a years later frame that shouldn't stretch.
Willing to hire it out
and supply custom made reinforcing rings.
See picture.
Cheers Tim

Had to come up with something, a guy bought a frame off me and neither of us initially realised it was flared there so i was going to give him another frame, but instead came up with that idea, really just doing what the frame factory did in 80.
Maybe we can pick up stuffed maxi frames on the cheap and profiteer GTHODAD? No wait that's not profiteering thats just selling our idea.
If anyone wants a kit I can make one up too for a nominal fee, (I tried to pay the machinist in cake but he said he's too fat already)
Seriously if anyone wants a frame sorted out in this way we can do it for a low fee, to pay for the turning and machining of the reinforcing rings and my intelectual property of course.
Or send me your no good maxi frames and I'll get rid of them for you!
cheers Tim

I got nuthin' mate, any suggestions on what I should be doing?
Did try fix up a DB medium pro and made it a lot better than it was, not perfect but should be a good rider. Will post a pic of the painted frame before it goes to its owner.
