Hi, I am building a 1980 Hotfoot and am wanting some stickers. I would also be happy if someone could just post some close up photos of the stickers and i could copy them.

Thanks,

Flea

Hi - I have a battered Hotfoot decal on my bike. It is 1 Nov 2010 now. I will take some pics and measure it and post it this week sometime. Hotfoot. This is one cool bike to ride BTW!

Hi Flea - here is a description of the decals on the Repco Hotfoot. I have emailed you the photos because there seems to be a limit of only 128 kb for attachments to this forum which is miniscule! I will try posting 3 replies to get all the photos on this forum so check below. Cheers.

Measurements are approximate because the decals are difficult to measure. A piece of paper was wrapped around the tube then the paper was marked and then flattened and measured with a vernier.

Decal – 1 is located on the DOWN TUBE
Description: The decal is one piece and is positioned like a saddle over the top of the down tube.
It has the word HOTFOOT twice on the one decal. One up one way, the other up the other way.
The decal is not centred on the down tube, its more 2/3 way down toward the seat tube.
Overall length of decal: 230 mm
Overall height of the decal: 70 mm.
Overall length of the word HOTFOOT measured at the base of the letter H and T: 207 mm
Height of lettering: 22 mm
Width of lettering: 27 mm
Colour of background: Clear (but now cloudy and cracked!)
Colour of lettering: Light grey and silvery, surrounded by a thick black outline
Italic: Lettering is in italic eg. HOTFOOT

Decal – 2 is located on the HEAD TUBE
Description: Decal is the single letter H in italics and matches the decal on the lettering on the downtube.
Overall height of decal: 24 mm
Overall width of decal: 26 mm
Colour of background: Clear (but now cloudy and cracked!)
Colour of lettering: Light grey and silvery, surrounded by a thick black outline
Italic: Lettering is in italic eg. H

Decal - 3 is located on the SEAT TUBE (the topmost decal)
Description: Decal contains the words “1020 Hi-TEN”
Overall height of decal: 31 mm
Overall width of decal: 38 mm
Colour of background: Black, yellow & white
Colour of lettering: See photos

Decal - 4 is located on the SEAT TUBE (the lower decal)
Description: Contains the words:
Repco
Cycle Company
Huntingdale
Victoria
Australia
Font: Monotype Corsiva (or similar)
Additional description: Text is surrounded by a wreath of olive leaves or similar.
Overall height of decal: 41 mm
Overall width of decal: 41 mm
Colour of back ground: Clear (but now cloudy and cracked!)
Colour of lettering: Black

Repco, what is the serial number on this frame, will start GO.... on the right rear drop out i think. It looks like a team frame. Does it have aero tubing? You can get repop stickers for these off a bloke called Glynn Hicks (Hicks Sign Co.) in Brisbane. The scans he has are my originals that I sent. Make sure you ask for Hotfoot Team stickers cause I can bet you will get the wrong ones, I have seen too many getting around stickered wrong.
