My Cromo frame is back from the painter.  Custom paint job is a silver mica base with a red and black mix over it then clear. Rod the painter called it Black Garnet. The picture was taken with a flash, the silver bits you see on the top tube, dropouts and chain stay are from the flash, reflecting the mica; to naked eye it just looks like a real deep candy apple, but comes alive when the sun (or flash) hit is. Should look good on a sunny day. But I better not chip it, fortunately 2 pack is tough.
What ya all think?  Now I have to find the rest of the parts for it.  If you have any trx forks lying around pm me please Smiley
cheers Tim

Mate who is a plater gunna give me some grit wheels and if i polish stuff he'll plate it he doesn't do much small stuff mostly industrial small stuff takes too much time, so i'll have to see if i can find some to polish myself.

You won't believe what the paint job cost me, I'm too embarrassed to say here, I wish i could show how it looks when sun shines on it.

It doesn't matter what it cost you Tim remember we can't take it with us and it's only stupid paper anyway, just as long as you got what you wanted  Grin Grin Grin

Paintjob was mega value K8sy! Forks are getting rechromed tomorrow, gunna cost me 5 bucks more than the paint job, it is so good when you do stuff for people with no ulterior (is that how it's spelt) and then form a friendship with them and they do jobs for you for a really good price.
Thanks to Deano for the TRXs!
Coasty I picked up a bike today that has a redline stem and mongoose frame so if the forks have redline on them i will let you know!

Looks good tim.

'black garnet' is a colour used on lexus.
So you got an 'expensive' colour, lol.

Most metallics and pearls come to its right when the sun (light) hits it.
You get the effect when the light reflects off the frame giving the effect when the light 'returns'.

That is the beatu of having a frame painted, nice pearls and metallics avalible..
