Well i tryed it on a pair of grips....Uni Hand Grenade 2's in orange.
Before:
After:
So yes it does work
I used RIT dye and just boiled water added dye and a handfull of salt and left it for about an hour and voila i now have black grips....black would be the easiest to do cos it just stomps on other colours.
I am trying a seat now it was green but i needed a black one so it's in the pot.

Damn what a great idea! I have been trying to lay my hands on a pair of black Oakley B1Bs, now I know what to do with my extra blue ones

I was a bit dubious as to whether it would work on grips but it seems to have worked a treat m8
the seats almost done so will pop a pic of it up when i pull it out of the soup....also i used white zip ties to suspend it in the pot and they turned black too LOL

How did you stop the sticker on the seat from going black?

good to see someone had some luck, i tried to dye a white seat blue which I thought would be pretty simple and all i did was stain most of the bbq trolley timber and destroy my wifes good wok. ........oops.......... I haven't tried since but good to see someone have a win.
