I have a some of those slant stems and am wondering if anyone knows a good way to get the flaky coating off them.  The chrome underneath looks pretty good so I want to get it off without hurting ther underlying surface as both are all flaky.
I think you can see it ok in this picture of a yellow one.

Hey Tim i agree with Ritchie paint stripper should work i just used it on a pair of
old v bars that had a red coating on them and it took it all off.

Nah if its too much say mate I got 2 of em not going to use other one i don't think either.
Just its hard to write NSW on postal package so i charge more for that.
