Hi all been a bit busy again of late but still managed to get some work done on the bikes. The Jack Walsh is finally under way all
stripped back cleaned and undercoated ready for the paint. The wheels forks and handlebars have polished up not to bad at the
moment just a bit more to do will need a few things to finish it off but will get to that later. The 16 inch Standish was almost done
but not real happy with the finish on the paint job so looks like it comes back apart and the paint redone. Then on the weekend
came across this green bike at a garage sale didn't know what it was paid $10 for it took it home a little bit of paint stripper and
found out what it was a 24 inch Hootfoot.

Hopefully the Jack Walsh be painted over the next few weeks.

                     Cheers Dunno

Great pick up Dunno, the Jack Walsh is going to be something rare I'm guessing.

Yeah Tim don't know much about the Jack Walsh i found it lying next to a light
post on the side of the road.Has a few strange things check where the bottom
tube meets the bb very low i don't think it was made on any production line.
Hopefully someone may know more about it any help would be great.
The Hootfoot will come in handy i already have a frame i got from Laingy thats been
cleaned and polished and waiting for parts that will be the next project.

                 Cheers Dunno.

It sure does lok different where the BB meets Dunno.   I wonder if anyone at Jack Walsh's bike shop has been there since they made them to ask?

A little up date on the bike the colour has been put on not looking to bad a few coats of clear to follow.

These bars originally belonged on Coxy's 1st converted dragster way bitd he also had a Ashtabula goose neck which would make a
nice addition to the bars i.will have to see if he still has it.

Tim i mentioned about the J.W earlier on the site and someone said something about Jack Walsh being in a nursing home and talking
to his son or nephew. I am not sure who it was i would like to know if there are any stickers still around for the bike as well.Any help
would be good.

Hi all been doing a little more work on the Jack Walsh and it's slowly comming together.I have used all the original parts
that were able to be saved but wil need to buy a few parts to finish it off like tyres ,seat and grips if anybody can help
out feel free to pm me.The biggest problem will be the J W stickers for the frame.

Don't know if this helps you Dunno but it's a good read

Just a hint about the decals
Before removing them for paint, take good close up pics of them and take measurements.
If the pics are good quality then they can be used to create artwork for the new decals

Looking good so far mate

Love the looptail with a gusset frames. The Jack Walsh Looks similar to the 1st gen Taipans.  Does this have a curved brake bridge  too?
The downtube is welded to the BB like that to get more weld to it. Just like the Redline frames. Aparantly more weld area means its a stronger join.

Yeah mate it has a curved break bridge on the back the welds look fairly rough a few grinder
marks on some of the welds as well.As for who built the frame i don't know.
