Not sure what you want there mate?
Tuff 1's never came in freewheel. You can convert the coasterbrake to a freewheel but it's not real smooth.
Have you got a pic of what your fixing?

Hey Coasty i"ve got a set of tuff 1"s that i've had since 1979 and i know that the winmill boys had a free wheel hub set-up on there bikes and thought after 31 yrs it might be nice to have a change.LOL
P:s Whats the best way to clean these things cause there yellow and they have got the fades happening?

Get them glass grit blasted and then drown them in wd40. They will look like new.
Tuff Wheel 1's came with a coaster brake only. You can convert them to a freewheel by removing bits and putting in a washer.

Tuff wheel II's had freewheels.


The Coasterbrakes are the same on 1's and II's. Some II's are Suntour too.

Maurice Meyer was a factory Skyway rider in the US and is a member on the US forums. He has a site with a whole bunch of Skyway info.
I've spoken with him via email a bit and is also a member of the Curb Dogs. He was quite well known back in the 80's.

Hey tried to bead blast these tuffs but it wasn't to successfully still has a nasty stain like mildew or something anyways going to try a 50/50 hydro acid bath if that don't work well maybe after 31 years it's time i upgraded anyway Thanks for the tip anyway!

Beads don't work as good as glass. Beads won't take the thin layer off like glass will.

Hey Coasty used a glass blaster on those tuff's today and it worked heaps better thanks again . won't be around for afew days getting the eyes lasered 2morrow hope to catch you sometime soon? Cheers Westy

WoW finally i can see ! well good enough to use this thing anyways. Picked up my frame from the chrome plating shop today so finally the rebuilds on the way post photo's soon
