The bike pictured has been offered to me for $200, it has spots of rust around the frame and i am going to get it chrome dipped, new gyro, new wheels, cranks, brakes, seat, etc......
What do you reckon?

Depending on where you are I think you might get better value if you search Ebay, rechroming won't be at all cheap.
They are a cool looking bike Smiley

Yeah, i have a quote for the chrome at approx $340.
But, is $200 a bit steep for that BMX?

Ive had a good look at the bike above and if its going to be a rider you can get away with giving it an OA bath and then hose clean. There are just 2 spots that look like the rust has gone thru:a cut? on the seat tube and a spot on the forks. Everythin else will come up great.

Is it worth $200?  Depends

Tell him he is dreamin' ...awesome! Smiley
I dunno if i can get it cheaper..it was on eBay and the auction finished at $350..lol!
so i messaged the seller and asked,.. if the winner didnt want it i would be interested, anyway as it turns out the winner wants to only pay $250, but i went around and checked it out cos' it was just around the block, and negotiated to $200.
It is for my wife she likes the frame and i was going to restore to chrome with new rims, cranks, brakes, etc.. an expensive project!

Just buy the frame and forks;D
BTW Do some research before choosing your chromer.
