Hi
Managed to squash the rails of my seat after getting kicked off a set of doubles at the track and landing no footed sitting on the seat. This left the seatguts resting right on the seat as on the left. After repair the seat looks normal again with about 20mm of flex available again as on the right.

The tools needed to repair were a screwdriver, a 12inch wrench, multigrips and a torque bar. A hammer just in case.

Unscrew the front plastic cover and remove it to expose the rails and pull them out by pushing the rails towards the rear of the seat and flexing the seat. I kept the seat attached to the post to use as leverage.

Once the rails have come out the front you can wriggle and pull them out of the back and the rails are now free

Use the wrench to bend the rails back into shape. If unsure of the bend look at a similar seat in good condition to copy the angles. You can see how the seatpost is coming in handy here.

Check the rails are even before refitting to the seat.

Fit the rails back into the rear first and then push and flex the seat to get the front in and screw back the plastic cover and thats it. Done.
Hope this helps anyone else trying to save a seat. I rated it about a 1/5 for difficulty.

Weeeell, dunno what to say-maybe Im playing an April fools day prank.
Ill just describe it for you.

I have a black and red seat that needs the rails repaired. Im beautifully unscrewing the seat holding it tightly between my quivering sweaty tanned muscly inner thighs. My hand caresses the seat gently, feather lite, up and down up and down, slowly at first and then faster and faster until.... Shocked

I fixed one of the pics but they all seem to have the same address so therefore they are all the same.

OK I can see the last pic of the take two but no others. The one that I can see in its address has images.snapfish and the ones that I can't see have render.snapfish.

You must have done something different.

Sad to say but I can see all the images AOK.
I also can right click & copy the image location, paste in a new browser and the image appears ok too.
Try to copy and paste the image location to anew browser and see what happens

Just tried this. Right click on each pic, copy the pic address to your browser address bar and press enter, the pic will then come up, then press 'go back'. The pic will then appear ok on the forum. Dont know why or how this is working. Hope it helps.
