Decided to start restoring my old quicksilver bmx for my boys.  Many years back when I bought it off a mate I decided to put redline stickers on it as the quicksilver one were quite scratched.  Does any know where if it's possible to get old quicksilver stickers.  From what I have managed to research it's a helium and since it's been in the garage it's in pretty good condition.  Quote amazed what they seem to go for second hand.

G'Day Tissot,
Welcome to the site. If you have a helium then you are very lucky indeed. For decals and pads contact:
Pete (Porker) Cooper in Newcastle is your man.
He now own the Competition Development name (makers of Quicksilver) & does the pads, decals & is a walking encyclopedia on them.
Here's his email

Nice first post Tissot, all the right reasons for doing up the quicky, I did my 1980 MK1 for the same reason.
If u have a Helium, well its pretty desirable, I can feel Samkat breathing down my neck right now lol.
See we both are seeking to get hold of a Helium.

I forgot, let me know if u want to sell it, they are worth a few bucks & I'm not shy in paying for the right bike.

Pete is the man for your Decals & pads.

Can u put your serial number up too please.

After looking at more quicksilver pictures last night it looks like it's not a helium but another model but not quite sure which.

The serial number is 1002131D.

I will try and work out how to post a picture of the frame.

Managed to work out to upload a photo.

This is the frame (ignore the redline, who knew back then that a quicksilver would turn out to be a much better choice) http://s1120.photobucket.com/albums/l495/Tissot_oz/?action=view&current=592b628d.jpg

Troyboy, sorry it's not a Helium but thanks for the offer.

That's great.  Thanks for the information, I'll order some new stickers for it.  Oxalic bath is next.

Just curious, there is a quicksilver frame on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260774044702&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_922. What make it so special that it's going for over a 1k?

There's 2 on ATM. They are both over the 1K mark.
They are both 26" cruisers., there are less of these big boys out there then Heliums.
They have a twin lower tube too, which is unusual.

I give u a bum steer on your serial number (doh)
