Looking at getting my Proline frame and forks re-chromed. umm'ed and ah'ed about whether to leave in og condition or re chrome, still not sure if its the right thing to do or not but the its getting re done. Now the only question is where.
I'm in gympie so the nearest is Kunda Park Electroplaters, wanting to know if anyone has had work done by them and were you happy? how much did they charge?. From memory I think someone said they were doing Gary's work when he took all those final orders before shutting up the JC operation, anyone know if this is the case as i got a set of JC rl V-bars done and they turned out fine. Troy have you had stuff done by this mob as i think they sponsored the first blast?
Have heard only good things about Hamilton Chromers in Newastle too. anyone confirm or report otherwise? dont mind sending it away if quality and price are good. Anyone live in Newcastle?
Got a quote off Gripsport already, people say nice enought things about the work and bonus here is they can fix up minor damage to drop outs
but with what they quoted and the added cost of freight it was getting up there, I thought I'd see what else is out there.
Anyone else recommend somewhere? Trying to keep cost down but not if it means getting something back I'm not happy with. any in Brissy that someone can recommend?

Brett, I would only send the simple stuff to them, not F/F.
Spoke to a bloke the other day & he gets all his old car parts done in Mayalasa, cheap as chips, tripple chrome & a polish job u can die for. I'm thinking of getting the Eastwood done over there. Will let u know more in a few days, I will ring u.

Brett, with a frame like that I would send it to Hamilton in Newcastle. Pete Porker has been using them for years and they are good. Star in Melb is another good one.
Kunda Park did great job on my stuff for the Stroker.

Brett, the chrome proline-II i had at the recent blast from the past was done by that Newcastle mob, not quite up to the Schwinn Sting's job but still quite nice. from memory i think it was around mid $200's, but that was better than a year ago.
