after much umm and Ahhing ive decided to leave the og chrome finish on the f&f i bought off Allen yonks ago, ive been tooing and froing for probably 2 years now but decided you cant get back OG chrome once is gone and its not meant to look perfect after over a quarter of a century.... so finally pulled my finger out and stuck it in acid bath today, will show pics once its out. have nearly all parts ready to go so build should be complete pretty quickly therrafter, with a bit of luck I'll bring it to Coo-roy for anyone going to Blast to tell me what i shoulda done.
Still need a red kashi mx seat tho so if anyones got one in mint condition and doesnt want to charge me my lefty let me know.

watch this space. !!!!!!!!

I will post some pics ...i promise

A f+f off Allen would have to be a Proline. Right?

Yeah its a proline all right, but results from acid bath not quite as good as is hoped for. Not sure what to do now.  Might be off to the chromers after all.  Huh? Huh?

nah not pitted, well a little on the forks but I can live with that. It looks like half the sticker stayed on the tube, see halfway along the downtube the definate line, and its also like that on the underside of the top tube  Huh?Huh?Huh??
...

wouldnt come off before the bath with metho, turps, or even thinners and after bath its much more visible, like its almost etched in the chrome.

Just spent a few minutes leaning fairly heavily on it on a really course buffing wheel on bench grinder and its better.... but not great. hopefully if I persevere it'll come up without having to go down the rechrome path but its not going to be the speedy little job I thought. Might try a few different compounds on that same wheel and the bb will be intersting. weird part is the sticker looking marks are also on parts of the frame where stickers would never have been and they werent there, or werent visible, before the bath.   hmmmm its all very interesting.
