Hi, just saw a picture of your bike and had to join up. I have one the same in the shed, had it since i was a kid 20 plus years ago. Mine has alloy tuffs, they look just like yours only alloy, any idea how rare these are or a rough value of this bike.  cheers

Alloy wheels like Motomags, which came stock on Mongoose bikes , are starting to fetch good dollars here in Australia. A good set will fetch $300+. A complete Mongoose with all the right parts will go for $500+. It all depends on who is buying. They aren't rare at all. Theres millions of them all over the world but they are sought after. I will never sell mine I know that much!
Are the wheels like these? These are Motomags IIs.
Welcome to the site. Have a look around and share some stories.
Oh and post a pic of your bike too.

Hi, wouldn't sell mine either, sentimental value more than anything, just curious as to it's value. Wheels look the same five spokes but don't have the webbing, maybe someone cut it out and left the spokes. I will try to post a picture as soon as i get it out of the shed, hasn't moved in 20 years.

The owner of that site (Bill Curtin) is the previous owner of VintageBMX.com
He has the legal rights to reproduce the gear on that site. I have grips and stickers and all are first class.
The man responsible for the artwork is a well know collector in Brissy. Nice work Mick.
