I recently decided to rebuild a classic racer and bought the below off Ebay, the frame looked alot like a motomag apart from the cable stays under the main cross bar? I dont know what it is due to no original stickers, but Im thinking maybe a mongoose or Quicksilver? any Ideas would be great.
Cheers

maybe you could post a close up of the welds or list the serial number as it could be a mongoose, but judging by the gooseneck and asuming it is the original fitment i would say it is more likley to be a Madison or one of the many other mongoose look-alikes.

Hi Mate,
I also seen this one on ebay and was curious? I have a 81 Mongoose and have compared some pictures with it. I sent the seller a message about the serial No# but it was only the numbers as you say without the letters like Mongoose serials. I have seen many copies of Mongoose over the years and as rsrichie said, check out the welds for that heliarc type!,
 Cheers Matt

I think there is a regular swap meet in victoria somwhere but not sure on the details of that one perhaps one of our members from down that way could fill in the gaps with details there, as for getting hold of parts ive found council clean ups to be the greatest source of rare and hard to get peices at the right price otherwise there are many options to obtain parts eg LBS (local bike shops), ebay, garage sales, newspaper, old school mates, family, friends ect ect and you could allways advertise on here in the classifieds section. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi there, I will post some pics shorlty, It seems it could possibly be a Cobra or a Madison? the paint on has been painted on thick! It had Haro stickers on the forks and a one peice Sugino crank if that means anything, Its turned out to be a 16" frame which wasnt what I was wanting to base my project on so I currently have it advertised on Ebay. Will post pics soon!

Cheers
