I needed a rider and something to practice making art for in preparation to building the fatrax, I picked up a goose locally from Ebay. Was the only bidder so that made it easy, shouldn't cost me too much but if you have any diacompe bulldogs spare send me a pm

Made my own custom decals close to original but custom the way I wanted to suit the colour scheme, found some paint and some wheels from a GT with Alex rims and started putting it together.
Got Mongoose pedals, crank and gooseneck to go on with nos chrome seat post and an nice old seat Coasty kindly sent me (Thanks Glenn). Will be a cheapy rider that may get a good coat of 2 pac if it looks ok.
Hopefully what I learn will allow me to make some real sweet decals for the Fatrax.

Will put more pics on when I get more done, If it looks good I'll get it painted properly.

I could tell you Adrian, but not sure I'm RAD enough!!!!

Made the art in a graphic program, sized it and printed with bubble jet on special transfer paper, which costs a bloody fortune, spray it with an acrylic sealer that costs a bloody fortune, then you  let em set put em in warm water and transfer em like model airplanes when you were a kid.
I did this as practice you need to make sure any long transfers soak long enough so you can slide them off without getting wrinkles, I got a couple of little wrinkles but i know how to avoid them now, and thats why i did this on a cheapy paint job.

Got the bike together using bits and pieces,  Am wondering if it is worth trying to get the right bits giving it a real paintjob and doing the transfers better.  It seems like a nice enough bike, the gooseneck is wrong as is the brake but it looks ok. Brake cable needs to be made right and I'd get a bar pad for it. I won't leave the sexy GT pedals on either if I repaint it, anyway it will do as a rider for now at least.
Anyway if you want to comment please do, I am happy to take advice, comments and criticism, hell I want criticism to prepare me for when Phil's mother in law arrives! It cost me about 50 bucks including buying the frame.

Thanks Adrian, paint is just a rough 3 can job though, I am thinking I'll get it done in 2 pack and should look real nice, but then I won't want to give it to some snot nosed brat child of a single mum that needs a bike, cos they don't respect em.

One thing I would do is either get a new chain or give that one a clean up on the wire wheel. I just done a chain and it looks like new.

New chain?  I got sh*tloads of it, was just in a hurry and that old one was right length and the chain breaker was in the ute!
Got enough to wear it like a bandoleir wrapped around me 8 times and then some left over...true can even put a cook bros style seat post in the chain belt, chuck my helmet on and look like a mexcian revolutionary!!!!!
I'll put the new chain on very soon. The chain is all new and the guy that gave it too me said its very good quality because he was a maintenance fitter at a big bakery and they used bike chain and gears for some of the stuff.
I will use it as is as a rider until I get something else rolling then I will get a real paint job on it and make it nice, stuff the poor kids I'll fix up  k-mart bikes for them muhahahahaha!!!!!

Not a fan of that sort of bike but Youve done a damn good job-may need a layback seatpost for long long wheelies.
A lot of us would be interested in your rub on sticker method Ya should let us all know what your gonna do next.
Y`eah you can buy another half inch of cable by turning the lever down 60 more degrees. I use velcro for cable ties.
...and buy a good bike lock to stop that devo lookin guy in the above pic from jumpin on your bike again.

Sexy pedals? Errr Im a bit confused now.
