Can't believe I did this, back in the early 80s the kids and I used to go to Many Dam, we would set up a ramp at the bottom of the boat ramp (bloody steep ramp) with a 44 gal drum and a plank then come belting down the ramp and launch into the water.

Cheers

that is very cool, Your kids must have been over the moon to have a dad do crazy sh*t like this with them. My old man was a bit older than most of the other kids' dads so the most adventurous we got was back yard cricket. Check out this vid of a buch of guys in Gympie (no.... I dont know any of them, but do know where the dam and ramp are)and the dad has a go at the end.
But you would still be the original rad dad. Old school is always cooler.

hahaha Nice vid Brett.
Prosight thats a cool pic. I did the same thing at Parramatta behind the footy stadium. Last time we done that was on the Gold Coast at the Nerang BMX Club christmas party. The lake behind the council chambers is perfect for it.

Geez wisakers, I feel like Ive lived a sheltered life. I seem to be the only one who hasn't done it but then again i always was a bit of a chicken.
As far as I know the ramp is still there. My wife at one stage wanted to buy the house you can see on the other side of the dam so she'd constantly make drive around there to look at it. The camera makes it look small but because even from the other side of the dam (and its a pretty big dam) i thought "wow thats big". If you really want to try it out prosight i could find out whos property its on as a mate of mine lives in that street and someone down at the track would definatley know, but you'd be on your own, i find it hard enough trying to clear the jumps at the track without killing myself.
nice pics of yours too coasty, how long ago was that?

Hey Laingy, if that camera you used makes things look smaller, can I buy it off you to take a picture of my girlfriend's ass?

If you never had a lake jumper youneed to make one and get out there mate, it's lots of fun.

Creeking Jumping on the Ross River was enjoyed by most of the crew that raced at Kirwan BMX Club in Townsville.

Fruit juice bottles were the floatation device of choice but I do remember Rollies Performer going missing for a few hours one time.

Laingy,

Yes, from time to time they used to pull a few out. I think they're having to pull a couple out at the moment!

When you're a teenager do you really think a croc would take you?Huh?

Cheers,
