Welcome aboard bmxr i hope you like the site. After reading your add i thought maybe your not sure as to what parts you are after which with being a quicksilver they never really came out with a exact parts list. Anyway i thought i would help you out by nameing some of the parts that were very often fitted to the Quicksilver.

Araya 7x rims
Shimano Dx hubs
Nitto MX2 stem
alloy fluted seat post
kashimax seat
sugino 1pce CrMo cranks
sugino spider
sugino chainwheel

and im sure other members on here could help even more but that should get you started you just need to decide on colour.

Cheers
Richie

Hey Bmxr
Welcome to the site.
What model is your dads bike? If u can stick a piccy up so some of the guys can give u their opinions but when it comes to it, it is only you or your fathers taste that matters.
For my 2 cents worth, my 1980 series 1 was & is Blue & it had from new
Takagi 1 piece crank, chainwheel & spider
Araya wheels
Suzie & Shimano high flange hubs
Redline V bars
Tuff headstem
fluted seat post
Kashimax seat
Mx tange 1200 forks
MX 1000 rear brakes
Quicksilver handlebar grips

Stickers, pads & a whole lot of info can be sourced through Pete (Quickie Mon) a member on this site.
Heres a pic of mine in its resto stage, painted by Roberto @ Lewis & Sons in Brisbane.
