Anyone know anything about these bike, no info came with it except that the kids cousin had owned it for 25 years he thought.
Is it a nice bike? It looks 1/2 decent and the chrome might come up good after a OA bath.
Who knows anything about them?
I couldn't find anything on forums about it.
Cheers tim

Most Apollo frames back then had Tange tubing and were very good quality. Just never gained a lot of popularity with the big guys. My team mate Dean had an Apollo. Kuwahara used the same company to build their frames. I say build it up. It looks good. Can you get a pic of the rear dropouts Tim?
Nice one.

I sure can get a pic of the rear dropouts, just it will be to my usual poor photography standard.

It does seem fairly light too.

Cheers Coasty and RL, It does seem very light, about 1/2 what the torker weighs; so the chromo would explain that nice looking bike too the bars are still good and its got a WIN gooseneck on it.

Thanks for the feedback again.
When I started getting the paint off it i found the original 4130 sticker underneath, so that was helpful at least, and the forks were stamped tange.
Its getting there slowly, decided to run the starwheels and blue tourney (copy at this stage)brakes cos i couldnt find red ones hehe.
Original bars and forks on it too.
Got to get the crank but I think someone has one.......Glenn hehe?
Still need to get the brake pads, pedals, stickers and maybe a bar pad made (anyone making Apollo pads) but its first real go I've had at fixing an old school bmx

Getting close to finishing this off, it goes to the platers soon to repair a chip on the rear dropout, the cranks Coasty kindly sent me look good and I got some nice pedals through Warren.
I still need some blue AME tri grips or blue foam ones. Also need a blue bar pad, I had a black one but it didn't look right (looks good on the ole Fatrax though) The black tape holding the cable looks awful, if I can't find a pad I might try and get some nice cable clamps.
Stickers will be redone soon, properly I hope but this is mostly what it will look like.
Wheels are Weinmanns with Shimano hubs and spin really nice.  The guys at The Bike Hub here trued them up after I was going nuts trying to do it.  New blue tyres look spiffy and I'm happy so far with how it looks.  wanted a look at it before I strip it to go to plater.
Parts at the moment are:
Kuwahara/Apollo outlaw 4130 Chromo frame. (rechromed)
Tange 1200 forks. (rechromed)
Alps Bars. (rechromed)
Coasty supplied  Shimano 170mm cranks.
Warren supplied VP pedals.
Weinmann Rims.
Shimano hubs.
Blue Lien Fu tyres, I always think of Lion Poo when I say that. 2.25 front, 1.75 rear.
Shimano levers.
Shimano copy brakes.
Chromo layback post.
Gt Seat clamp (polished)
Black AME Tri grips.
Blue KMC chain.
Stem is win i think.
Blue plastic seat with BMX cutout, I have no idea of the brand.
Cheers Tim
