Just thourght I would kick things off with a pic of "pinky"
This was purchased late 2007 as pretty much frame and fork and I have added the rest slowly from there-I haven't taken any pics of the finished bike.......mmm soon
Thanks to 'Roberto' for the bars and GT brake pads-  Wink

Stickers are original and paint just needed some serious elbow grease- it looks orange /pink in the pics (taken at night) but is definately pink in the day. I will probably ride it but not very hard - just cruise on it and try to ignore the people pointing and laughing  LOL!

....what late 80's freestyler doesn't want a pink GT? !! Grin

HUTCH Rules!!

Great bike, my favourite freestyler of the 80's.

I only rode the quarter pipe usually on my Hutch Pro Racer but one of my good mates up in Townsville Rollie Badnoch had a Pink one probably an 85 as he snapped a CW Z frame before he got it. Rollie's pink performer never had a proper pair of wheels on as he regular damaged one or the other and just ran spare ones he got off his mates. It copped a hammering as he raced it, tricked it, piped it(about 6") and creek jumped it. One tough ride.

A mid 80's Pro Performer is on my wish list, so if any one wants to part with one let me know!!

Looks good.  What the story with white rims, are they just powdercoated?

They look to be painted white- they were NOS 1986 wheels I picked up from USA.
Araya 7x copies by 'SUMO'  with white joytech alloy hubs.
I only decide to get them because finding a NOS pair of white with shiny side Ukai's laced to 36hole GT superlace wheels was impossible or around $500+ USD..  Shocked

I am pretty sure they are off some 86/87 model Kuwahara freestyle bike?
.....surfing ebay late at night and the next thing you know you have bourght something!!
