most respected rider in australia for sheer effort & training regime (in my era)
would have to be johnny harris.  he kicked a few butts riding up and down some
big hills in the liverpool area. then turned it into #1 aus
would liked to have raced against richie anderson (usa) just to see how much better ? he would have been
than riders of the same age group in aust ( 13 yr  1980)
other than that , anyone who jumped bigger , crashed harder gets my nod.

Hello Melita Downey-post up some info and old pics will ya!

My fave Oz rider is prob Jamie Hales-there was a pic of him fully crossed up comin out of the ssssnakepit at Lalor in his Quicky gear Number 2 Haro plate. Think it was in the Ozzy BMX mag -not Pancake the other one.
