Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd share my first resto project: I purchased the frame off ebay for $60AUD, as you can see from the photo it claims to be a RL240 though it looks more like a MX11...sadly prior to painting I didn't copy the serial number down (Doh!). I sourced most of the parts from the web...Firstly I stripped the frame back to bare metal then had it painted in Ferrari red and fitted all the parts as per the photo...

Win Vbars
Redline hexagon Grips
Oddessy Seat post
Latest Tuff Wheels 2 (sealed bearings) coaster brake
NOS Redline Tires 20 x 1.75
Profile Goose neck
Tange headset
Tange TX1200 forks
NOS powerlite racing seat (plastic)
Aeromax red annodised MX-1000 alloy pedals(to be fitted)

Thats about it...so far....Now to start on the next Redline project.......

Nice first Resto there Zigi, you got to be proud of that. I really like the tuffs and the tyres, especially the tyres, they look awesome.

Cheers Adrian

Great job, I hope my first resto turns out that good (not counting the fatrax  seeing they stuffed the frame).
Colour looks excellent.

Hey zigi, looks pretty good mate. Why did you go away from the chrome? Not saying that I don't like the red. Tuffs?  Grin You will have to ask the others about that. Wink

Very nice job.
Did you strip and paint it yourself or have it professionally done?

Thanks for that Phil, I decided that I wanted something different I guess, as I have a Chrome DiamondBack Viper from the 90's (I htink), with Blue Tuff's and a RL340 Compe Redline that is Candy apple red (that will be Chromed) with Black Tuffs that are both in various states of restoration...

"Tuffs?"...well my mongoose from 1979 had yellow tuffs (coaster brake) and was colour coordinated! lol...and I just like them because they are different to what most people have....have a good one guys!
