My mate works at a place that gets Citric Acid by the tonne, so he's going to grab me a sack full !

There's 2 types of Citric Acid though - Anhydrous and monohydrate - does anyone know the right one for this job ?

Don't know Friendy, I just bought it from a pool shop & it worked. Mix it with a warm water & it will work better, 10 to 15water - 1part acid

Hey Troy where's the pics of those forks and bars done? That frame you did looks sweet. I got an old raleigh from the tip the other day with some funny shaped (sorta areoblade looking) chrome forks that will be getting the treatment now, I thought they would be getting some colour on them, but not now.

So can anyone tell me which one is the best to use OA or Citric for my Boss??

Pro's and cons of both would be awwwwwwwwwwwwwsome!

Cheers
John

I would probably try the Citric acid first. I use OA all the time and it works great. Citric is a must try one day.

I never tryed OA, so I can't coment.
Citric acid is less harmful on hands etc, & works great.
Those forks have no rust on them now, they were that bad that they have no chrome either. The handle bars came up OK, I will see if I can find them on the weekend & get pics.
