Hi! Yes, the Suparoo was a south aussie made bike...I met a guy who is a fanatic with everything old school BMX and he said they were made here(I'm from SA), it was my first serious race bike and use to to whip the 'cro-mo' boys. Alot of kids in Adelaide had them in the late 70's, and where I raced at Mount Barker. I am looking at trying to get another one (I broke mine in half mine and it most probably ended up at the local tip) but this guy Wayne in SA apparently has 4!!?? of these and he knows the guy who owned the Suparoo company!! So I'll do some more digging and try and find out more.
Cheers Henry.
Hi mate,
There is a Wayne in Adelaide with a very nice Supa Roo cruiser though he only has the one.
I though happen to have 5 completes and a Cruiser frame and forks. I think you are referring to me unless there is someone else out there with same crazy addiction for Supa Roo's.
Along my journey I have found and collected some very cool pieces of Supa Roo history.
I use to work for JT Cycles in the 80's which was owned by Des Pearce who also owns the Supa Roo brand. Des has been very helpfull with my builds with decals etc. and also with helping me piece together the history of the brand.
I'm in contact with Des often, I also have caught up with his son Joffre who was the very first Supa Roo team rider back in 1980's. I am also lucky enough to be the proud owner of Joffre's 1982 SA Open Championship Trophy. Apart from my bikes, this would have to be at the top of my favorites list.

Joffre's the one in the add on the left with the very same trophy.
